A True TV Film for BBC and Al Jazeera International in co-operation with Seven Productions, Nairobi, Kenya
Redykyulass or the real thing?
At one of Kenya's prestigious Rugby 7 tournaments the country's favourite comedy group Redykyulass fooled the crowd and the world's press into thinking President Kibaki, Lucy the First Lady and an Aide de Camp had come to officiate.
Redykyulass became household names in Kenya with hilarious political satires of their leaders. Now they are turning their attention to getting the youth of Kenya to vote out Africa's 'old men' and vote in a new youthful generation of political leaders that will represent their interests and reflect a more democratic Kenya for the coming election December, 2007.
Now one of them, KJ stands for election up against a sitting MP from the Kenyatta family. He's under the age of 30.... it's practically unheard of in Kenya that someone so cash strapped and young should get in...
Can Laughter change the voting face of Kenya?
